Terms of Use

Last updated July 21, 2026

By downloading or using Onlink, you agree to these terms.

Use of the app

Onlink is provided as a macOS utility for checking internet reachability, viewing a recent locally stored connection timeline, optionally viewing network identity information, and running user-started speed tests.

You may use Onlink only in compliance with applicable laws and the terms of any network or third-party service you access.

Your data

You retain ownership of information stored by Onlink on your Mac. Onlink does not claim ownership of your connection history, preferences, network identity results, or speed-test results.

For details about local retention and network requests, read the Privacy Policy.

Network measurements

Connectivity status, public-IP details, provider information, and speed-test results are diagnostic estimates. Results can vary because of network conditions, hardware, server availability, routing, VPNs, captive portals, and third-party service behavior.

Onlink is a convenience utility and should not be treated as a guaranteed measure of service availability, network security, or performance.

Third-party services

Onlink may connect to services operated by Apple, Cloudflare, IPinfo, and Measurement Lab. These services are not operated or controlled by Onlink. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when your Mac connects to them.

No warranty

Onlink is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. The developer does not guarantee that the app or third-party endpoints will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from your use of Onlink, reliance on its measurements, network interruptions, data loss, or third-party services.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of Onlink after a change means you accept the updated terms.
